12. Houston Rockets

I love this concept of Yao Ming being a part time center. He already knows that he won't have to play more than 24 minutes a night, he will be able to take games off on back to back contests, and yet he will not be given a part time paycheck. All he has to do is make sure his foot doesn't die and he will continue to control the paint for the Rockets. 

Point Guard

   Aaron Brooks looks like Chris Rock.

He also averaged 19.6 ppg and nearly 6 assists a game last season. In the Lakers series a few years back (which went 7 games quietly) I thought he was electrifying to watch and still think the Rockets are fine building around him as their point guard. 

Shooting Guard

If someone tells you they've actually seen Kevin Martin play, they're lying. He goes right onto the lineup of Monta Ellis and Gerald Wallace of ridiculous fantasy basketball numbers, but yet no proof that they actually exist. 

Small Forward

Every mom wants their son to play the game of basketball like Shane Battier, humble, defensive minded, does the little things that don't show up in the stats while always showing good sportsmanship. 

Power Forward

Luis Scola dominated the FIBA tournament. He's the white Lamarcus Aldridge. With long hair. 

Yao Ming

The part time center. Will he be explosive in limited minutes the way Arbenis Stabbonis was or will his foot die by game five? 

Rockets Bench

Surprisingly good bench. A starting lineup of Karl Landry, Courtney Lee, Jared Jeffries, Pattrick Patterson, and Brad Miller could win 6 games in an NBA season. 

I like the Rockets to make the playoffs as the 7 seed in the West. Unfortunately for Houston fans, I see a first round exit as the peak of their season.
